Applies to all applications submitted through this website.
This policy explains what personal information Motshelo with Attie collects from loan applicants and borrowers, why we collect it, how long we keep it and who it may be shared with.
We collect the information you give us on the loan application form: your full name, Omang or passport number, date of birth, residential address, email address and cellphone number; details of your employer, job title, work address, employment type and income; the amount you are applying for and what it is for; your bank name and account number; and the name, relationship, address and cellphone number of your next of kin and any second reference.
We also collect the documents you send us, including a copy of your Omang, your payslip or bank statements and proof of your residential address.
Your information is used to verify your identity, assess whether you can afford the repayment, decide on your application, transfer funds to you, prepare and administer the Acknowledgement of Debt, send you reminders before a payment falls due, and recover the debt if it is not repaid.
The next of kin and reference details you give us are used to contact that person if we cannot reach you. Please tell the person you have named that you have given us their details.
By submitting the application form you consent to us collecting, storing and using your information for the purposes above, and to being contacted on the email address and cellphone number you provide, including reminders about amounts that are due.
We do not sell your information. It may be shared with our bank in order to transfer funds to you, and with attorneys, debt collectors or a court where a debt is not repaid and legal recovery becomes necessary. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Application details and documents are stored securely and access is limited to the people who administer loans. Copies of identity documents are used only for verification and record keeping.
Information relating to an approved loan is kept for as long as the loan is running and thereafter for the period required for accounting, tax and legal purposes. Applications that are declined or withdrawn are kept only as long as needed to record the decision.
You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, and withdraw consent to marketing contact at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect our right to contact you about a loan that is still outstanding.
This website uses only the cookies necessary to keep your session secure while you complete a form. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Use the contact details in the footer of this website to ask a question about this policy or about the information we hold about you.
